Long time collaborators Katie Pearl and Lisa D’Amour return to Austin with a work-in-progress showing of their latest work. TERRIBLE THINGS will turn an empty theater into a low-tech IMAX movie that takes audiences on a trip into the molecules and memories of Katie Pearl so we can figure out why she is so terrible. In the process, we will create a new universe where the line between wonderful and terrible doesn’t exist. Or where the line between you and the person sitting next to you doesn’t exist. Expect an in-your-body out-of-body experience, shaped by Katie Pearl, 5 other performers, and 600 marshmallows.

Katie Pearl and Lisa D’Amour have been bringing you multdisciplinary performance works since 1997. Their performances include the Austin favorites Anna Bella Eema, SLABBER and Dress Me Blue / Window Me Sky. They won a Village Voice OBIE Award with Kathy Randels for their production of Nita and Zita in 2003.
